Thomas fans were shocked yesterday when user, LittleWesternStudios (aka Eddie Twoson), announced that he was retiring his YouTube channel and gave no explanation for this decision.
Fans were quick to post images of a now deleted tweet from TurtlesandThomas’s former Twitter account that showed Turtles referencing Twoson’s content.
“I think some people have a really surface level understanding of art.” the 2017 Tweet said. Though it was one of Brady McGrath’s tamer tweets, fans were still quick to jump to Twoson’s defense.
“Eddie was my favorite YouTuber. I always loved his surface level film analysis.” @SlopFan tweeted. “So seeing Brady’s old tweet criticizing him made me punch my wall out of anger.”
While there was no evidence that directly linked the TurtlesAndThomas tweet to LittleWesternStudios, it was very obvious to loyal fans of Eddie Twoson, who was well known in the Thomas fandom for his shallow nitpicks of Thomas & Friends episodes.
“I have a much deeper understanding of being a maker thanks to Eddie!” One fan, @TheDankTrain declared. “In my own media, I make sure that I never shoot on film because then it would be splotchy which is a goof. If TurtlesAndThomas thinks that’s bad, then fudge him!!!!111”
Brady McGrath and Eddie Twoson have not responded to requests for their comments.
