Tragedy struck ArlesdaleDuck690’s layout this morning, when Thomas the Tank Engine was involved in a serious accident. Multiple eyewitnesses reported seeing him fall from the top of an unstable viaduct and onto the Sawmill Dumping Depot, which promptly flung him past the sawblade and into a log car.
“Despite how horrible this whole ordeal was, I have to admit it was incredible to watch.” The mother from the Family of Four explained. “The risers in the viaduct just slid out from under each other and he plummeted nearly a whole foot.”
Police, Lawyers, and Railway Inspectors alike are investigating this incident, in search of what could have caused this tragic event. Some witnesses suspect foul play.
“I could’ve sworn I saw ArlesdaleDuck690’s fingers on the little lever you push to saw the logs in half.” A workman said seriously. “Sir Topham Hatt said it was a complete shock, but I think this could’ve been an inside job.”
These worries aren’t unfounded: This tragedy struck soon after the news that Thomas Wooden Railway was getting a new makeover. Some think this whole accident was orchestrated in order to replace Thomas with the newer version, though the Railway staff denies these rumors.
“You have nothing to worry about, my friends! Thomas will be fine here at the Steamworks.” Victor consoled. “If he looks completely different the next time you see him, it must be your eyes playing tricks on you.”
