In Drayton Manor’s latest attempt to appeal to hardcore Thomas fans, they announced that they would be smashing the Stepney Prop with a hammer to make it more accurate to the real Stepney
“We’re always listening to fan feedback, and love to see how much people appreciate our care for the Thomas trains.” The Park Manager explained. “We’ve been studying up on the history of Stepney so that we can faithfully update his model to be more accurate to the real engine!”
Stepney the Bluebell Engine has been stowed away in his shed for years after an accident left him unable to pull trains. It’s highly unlikely that Stepney will be able to work any time soon, and Drayton Manor hopes to faithfully replicate this condition by smashing their model with a hammer.
“When our Stepney is in pieces, it will be just like the real Stepney, which we know fans will adore.” The curator of the Thomas display said. “Our hammer wielder is a professional, so we can guarantee it’ll be a good job.”
When asked to comment on his new makeover, Stepney Prop just said, “Please save me! I’m being held against my will!”
What a jokester!
