Mattel Digs up Wilbert Awdry’s Grave to Disprove Spinning Claims

This morning, Mattel finally decided to respond to Thomas Fans who claimed Awdry was spinning in his grave after a recent episode which depicted Thomas in an unrealistic situation that wouldn’t have happened in the Classic or Railway Series.

“We’re tired of you man-children complaining about every little thing we do in Thomas and Friends. It’s not that bad, and kids will enjoy it.” Said Ian McCue in a press conference, which he live-streamed from his Facebook page. “Every other day, we see someone on Twitter say, ‘Awdry is spinning in his grave,’ and I’m sick of hearing it. So we’re going to Europe, and we’re going to dig up his grave to prove he is completely stationary and not rotating.”

McCue left the conference hall and boarded an Airplane with Micaela Winter which they took to England where they visited the cemetery were Awdry was resting. They raised their shovels in the pale moonlight and plunged them deep into the earth over and over. Finally, with a thud, they hit a casket.

“Time to finally prove you big babies wrong.” McCue said to his Facebook livestream. “Let’s open ‘er up.”

Before he opened it, he checked the chat of the livestream, and noticed a message from someone telling him that Awdry had been cremated, and they were digging up some random person with the same name. The situation was very awkward, but became even worse when the corpse woke up to confront the duo.

“I’m just trying to get my eternal sleep, but it’s hard when some producers decide to go hitting my bed with shovels.” The zombie said. “I’m taking them to court for grave robbing, so at least I’ll get some compensation out of this ordeal.”
