James the Red Engine discovered the wonders of Music Streaming last month, and the Passengers have had enough. Sir Topham Hatt has had to completely ban James from pulling coaches until he stops making his Driver and Fireman blast music at full volume from Bluetooth speakers in his cab.

“When James first started playing music on the morning train, I thought it would be fun,” Knapford resident, Louis Handelson explained, “But he keeps playing the same emo crap over and over again. It got so annoying many of us wrote letters to Hatty to get it to stop.”
“They just don’t understand art. This is how I feel. This music represents me.” James retaliated. “When Juice WRLD says, ‘It’s a gift and a curse, but I cannot reverse it,’ that’s me. These songs are genius and if they can’t recognize that, I’m glad I don’t have to lug them around anymore.”
James playlist consists of hits like, Robbery – Juice WRLD, Lucid Dreams – Juice WRLD, Slow Dancing in the Dark – Joji, and Mine – Bazzi. Sir Topham Hatt rode around in James’ cab for a day, and immediately decided to remove him from all Passenger trains.
“It wasn’t a hard decision to make at all. As soon as I realized what was going on, I wanted to fix the problem.” Sir Hatt told us. “This mumble ‘crap’ doesn’t belong on my Railway. Music was better when we had artists who didn’t write songs about sex and drugs, like the Beatles, Queen, or Rolling Stones.”
James now pulls freight cars all day, which the freight cars seem to delight in.
“These Trucks understand real music. They sing along to it with me.” James stated. “I feel like we’re the only ones on this Island who truly appreciate art.”
The Troublesome Trucks don’t just sing around James though, and since they’re always being moved around and shunted to new locations, it’s spun into an Island-wide problem.
“Arg. These Trucks have never been so noisy.” Salty said as he shunted some Trucks that were screaming the lyrics to will he by Joji.
“I don’t know Salty, I’m really liking these songs.” Cranky the Crane interrupted. “I really feel like I identify with the lyrics. Oh, here comes the good part!”
Even though the Island now echos with the sounds of distant Slow Dancing every night, Sir Topham Hatt is positive it will die down soon.
“James is just going through a phase right now. The engines go through phases all the time. And you just have to hope they wear out soon.” Hatt said. “Once James gets tired of the music, it won’t be long before the trucks find a new way to bother us. Until then, we just have to hope this doesn’t catch on in Ffarquhar, because I know Thomas would like this music.”
I hope that the Skarloey Railway doesn’t have this problem
